USING ANDROID FOR A MAGIC MIRROR PROJECT

Hi, first of all like to say a big thank u for the information within the site.

I am trying to setup a magic mirror for home use. Right now i am working on a webpage that pulls data in (using Openweather, calendar, news apis, etc etc) much like the generator.

I would like to use Google Assistant with the webpage and also a big screen. (so the option of a tablet is out).

My question is if I need to display the webpage and still be able to utilize google assistant… how does the webpage “communicate” with the raspebery using google assistant?

Hope i make sense with the question.

    Thanks for posting your question here.

    Your title suggests you're using android to run a magic mirror on, but you mention using a raspberry pi later in the post. If you're using a rpi, you can run Google assistant on it. There are many guides for setting it up, you could check this one out:
